Today, pray for relief in your family from arguments.
Intercessory prayer might be defined as loving our neighbors on our knees – Charles Bent
The Bible is full of examples of people praying for others. We are going to follow their example to pray for people in our lives. As 1 Timothy 2:1 (CEV) says: First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them.
Save me, I pray, from my brother Esau. I am afraid—afraid that he is coming to attack us and destroy us all, even the women and children. Genesis 32:11 (GNT)
You may not be afraid of your brother and being attacked by him, you may not even have a brother, but family arguments can make us feel like we’re being set upon and harm everyone in your family.
Here is today’s prayer prompt:
Ask God to help and bless you and those in your family:
- who do not have a good relationship.
- who are fighting with each other.
- who are being abused.
- who have been hurt by another person.
Thank God for one thing concerning your family.
