Previously, we have understood that God is unwavering in being there for us, even when we fail to be completely committed to him. We have remembered how he has held us up in the past so we have confidence in the present. Now, we can have confidence in our current needs that God will come through for us.
Like the Psalmist, you are going to jump in with both feet and ask God for help by making Psalm 31 your prayer:
Prayer 1
Desperate, I throw myself on you: you are my God! Hour by hour I place my days in your hand, safe from the hands out to get me. Warm me, your servant, with a smile; save me because you love me.
Psalm 31:14-15 MSG
God, I will run to you when I’m in trouble and throw myself on you, trusting you to catch me in your arms and hold me tight. I am confident that every day of mine is safely in your hands, from when I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night. Even then you watch over me. Smile on me today, heavenly Father, so I know your love.
Prayer 2
Where are you desperate? Maybe it’s a new problem. Maybe it’s one you’ve been dealing with for a while. Whatever it is, ask God to meet your needs.
