To see the Architect of Order
When life feels chaotic this week, find rest in the structure of God’s creation. Celebrate the wisdom that keeps the stars in place and the seasons in rhythm.
By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place (Proverbs 3:19).
Pray
Lord, I praise you for your divine organization and your steady hand. I stand in awe of the laws you have written into the fabric of the universe—the rising of the sun, the pull of the tides, and the turning of the earth. While my circumstances may feel like shifting sand, your foundations are unshakeable.
I thank you that I do not have to hold my world together, because you already do. I rest in the plans and purposes of your grace, knowing that the same wisdom that set the stars in their courses is directing my steps today. Amen.
Practice
This week, notice the principled-awe. At sunset or sunrise, take a deep breath and acknowledge that you didn’t have to do anything to make the sun move. Say aloud: “The foundations are secure, and I am held tight within the hands of the Architect.”
