Create A Prayer Habit

Intercessory prayer might be defined as loving our neighbors on our knees – Charles Bent

The Bible is full of examples of people praying for others. We are going to follow their example to pray for people in our lives. As 1 Timothy 2:1 (CEV) says: First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them.

Then Jacob prayed, “O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, Lord, you who said to me, ‘Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,” Genesis 32:9

Pray for someone who is moving house or away from home.

Ask God to help and bless this person:

  • who is moving to a different country.
  • who is moving home to another area of the country or different town.
  • who is going to college or university.

Thank God for one thing concerning this person and his/her move.
