We know the importance and value of prayer. As James 5:16 (NIRV) says: The prayer of a godly person is powerful. Things happen because of it.
Sometimes, though, we need a little help to find a routine and pray consistently — to make prayer a habit. I want to help you get intentional in your prayer life.
Each day I will provide you with an opportunity to practice prayer — to help you pray naturally. These will be simple, biblically-based prayer prompts with fill-in-the-blanks that you can personalize for yourself and your life.
Here is today’s prayer prompt:
Sometimes we forget how much God has promised us. Today, we will focus on one of the many promises God has made to you and me. We also tend to forget that God never breaks his promises, he always follows through. You can keep God to his promises.
God promises: to prove false every voice that accuses you.
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 NIV
Are you being wrongly accused by others?
God, I am being charged with _________________________ and blamed for _______________________.
Believe in God’s promise:
God, I am trusting you to clear me of _________________________ so I can stand up and ________________________.
Keep God to his promise and declare his words over your life:
My protector is nearby; no one can stand here to accuse me of wrong. The Lord God will help me and prove I am innocent. My accusers will wear out like moth-eaten clothes. Isaiah 50:8-9 CEV
