A Prayer for Your Wildest Dreams

My mother discovered, on a parent-teacher evening at school, that at a very young age, I could be very creative. Each week on Monday morning at school, our assignment was to draw and write about our weekend activities. To my mother’s surprise, she discovered that my grandmother had a parrot that sat on her shoulder. On another weekend, I had visited an oil rig on my uncle’s boat. I guess I thought my weekend’s activities were far too mundane to mention and so I had used my imagination, picturing my wildest dreams.

Imagination shouldn’t be restrained to a six or seven-year-old. God invites us, his children, to release our minds and hearts and imagine, to ask, to dream big.

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! (Ephesians 3:20 MSG).

Take a moment to ponder God’s words. Then make the prayer your own.
